1 · THE CHAIN IS AUTHORITATIVE

cypherpunks.art is an interface to immutable smart contracts on Ethereum. The contracts have no owner, no admin keys, and no upgrades. This website is a mirror of chain state: if the site and the chain ever disagree, the chain is right. The site can be wrong, stale, or offline; the machine keeps running either way.

2 · SELF-CUSTODY, YOUR RISK

This site never holds your funds or your keys. Every transaction is composed, signed, and sent from your own wallet, and Ethereum transactions are irreversible. Verify what you sign. We cannot reverse transactions, recover funds, or undo signatures, for you or for anyone.

3 · THE AUCTION

One punk is auctioned every day, onchain, with no reserve. Bids are final. When you are outbid, the contract returns your ETH automatically. A bid in the final minutes extends the auction. Settlement is permissionless: anyone may settle, and settlement mints the punk and starts the next auction. A day with no bids burns that day's punk, permanently. All of this is contract behaviour that nobody, including us, can interrupt or amend.

4 · NOTIFICATIONS ARE BEST-EFFORT

Email and other alerts (outbid, wins, posting windows) are a convenience, not a guarantee. They can be delayed, filtered, or lost, by mail providers, by networks, or by our own infrastructure. Never rely on a notification for a bidding decision; the auction's live state is on the chain and on this site. We accept no liability for a missed, late, or incorrect alert.

5 · THE MAILING LIST IS PERMANENT

Each auction winner may post one message, sealed onchain. Posts are public, permanent, and uneditable, by you, by us, by anyone, until the chain itself dies. A window that closes unwritten seals blank forever. Think before you write; nobody can unwrite it.

6 · THE ROOM

THE ROOM is a peer-to-peer space for CypherPunk holders, provided as-is with no guarantees of any kind.

Nothing is vetted or endorsed. We do not verify any person, message, link, offer, price, or transaction. Everything said is the speaker's own, not ours.
You act entirely at your own risk. Never send funds, sign transactions, share seed phrases, or trust an offer based on anything in the room. Any dealing between members is solely between them.
We cannot help after the fact. We cannot reverse transactions, recover funds, undo signatures, or mediate disputes.
Conduct. No illegal content, scams, harassment, or impersonation. Access may be removed at any time, for any reason.
Visibility. Messages and images you post are visible to other holders and are stored. Do not post anything you would not want kept.

7 · NO ADVICE, NO WARRANTIES

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. The art, the site, and the contracts are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Digital assets are volatile; only ever risk what you can afford to lose.

8 · PRIVACY

Your wallet address and everything you do onchain is public by nature, forever. If you save an email for alerts, it is stored for that purpose only, never displayed publicly, and deleted when you unsubscribe. We do not sell data.

9 · VERSIONS AND ACCEPTANCE

Signing in to cypherpunks.art with your wallet accepts the version of these terms named in the signed message. If the terms change, the version changes, existing sessions end, and continuing requires accepting the new version with a new signature. The current version is v1.
